Peter Filkins, a literature professor at Simon’s Rock College was moved by the Sandy Hook shooting, which occurred 20 years to the day after a shooting at Simon's Rock, to compose the poem "Nobody's Road." The poem is set to music composed by Gabriel Gould, a friend and former classmate of Galen Gibson, who was killed in the 1992 shooting at Bard College at Simon’s Rock.
